Yesterday was our final class before break. The students worked diligently on their projects but we had to have an honest conversation. We were not loving our project and we were not making the progress that we should. We talked about art as a process and connected it to writing. Sometimes you begin with an idea and then you get going and realize it is not working so you leave it and then move on to something different.

Art this year is about the process. We are learning that abandoning this project is just another part of the process and it is okay; but the importance it that we are open and honest about our personal artistic expression.

Get ready to start fresh when we come back from break! We will begin a unit- Textiles and Yarn.
